So I was looking at flights to get me to Bristol in August for the Nascar race, and American Airlines is price gouging the HELL outta some routes I swear... CLT-TRI (a 1 hr flight) is $567 PER PERSON... wtf.

Welcome to my life, if I want to save myself a three hour drive exact same thing year round.

Why fly to Myrtle Beach when Charlotte is at least closer. Looking at United non-stop $100 one way direct out of Houston. You'll be stuck on a 175.

Oh, and screw Q400's. The Q certainly does not stand for quite.

I was planning on myrtle beach for Darlington, as the hotels are booked up in Florence already. But I think I'll just go to Richmond now

I know the Q400 isn't the most comfortable plane but it'd be neat to experience it once. But I ain't paying $600 for the 'experience' lol

Ehh, I'm still glad I'm eeking out on an Md-88, and flying back in on a 737-800. It easily coulda been an E170, or worse... a CRJ200... Dx

Yup... Especially on their long-haul Domestic flights... All the directs were ran by American Eagle, and they only had CRJs going on it, for like $222/flight... I'd rather pay less, fly on two planes, and not slam my head as I get up, thanks...

Dang. Yeah I had seen some $89 fares on SWA direct to LAX a few months ago but seems like they're gone now.
