Is the American best buy just really shit in regards to laptop models available or is it just a current problem? The Canadian one has a lot more choice! (My sister wanted a laptop and since my father is in Washington currently we were trying to get it from there but they don't have it. Nor even her second or third choice!)
Not sure really. Canada is better than the US at most things so being better at Best Buy wouldn't surprise me
It may just be out of stock at that particular store. I know where I live there's like 4 stores in the area.Canada's also pretty close to DC. Could make a road trip

I've been checking the online US store and it's still pretty bad surprisingly!
Sadly he's there for work so he won't have the time just to go to Canada for just a laptop

Canadian Best Buys I believe are not fully owned by Best Buy's Parent company. Instead, I believe they are a former chain of electronics stores that got bought up by Best Buy after a small presence was made in Canada, and then were merged under the Best Buy name. Or something like that.
Albeit source is wikipedia, this is what I found: Quote:Later that year(2001), Best Buy acquired the British Columbia, Canada-based electronics-chain Future Shop Ltd., marking its entrance to the international marketplace.[26][34] Under the deal, Future Shop was purchased for approximately $377 million and continued to operate as subsidiary independent from Best Buy Canada. link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Best_Buy
