Aircraft Leasing has now been implemented. It works very similarly to purchasing new aircraft. To lease aircraft, go to Manage Airline -> Fleet -> Lease Aircraft. Configure your aircraft, make sure you have enough money to cover the initial down payment, and then confirm the lease. The aircraft will be built and delivered to your airline as you configured it.
The number of active leases you can have depends on your airline's credit rating. The better your credit rating, the more leases you can have at any given time. Leases are paid weekly, to help with cash flow and to coordinate with the rest of the in-game payments. Lease payments are made every Friday at noon GMT.
We've tested it and have not found any significant issues, but do let us know if you run into any problems.

Is the delivery wait longer the larger the plane or order?

Well both, kind of. Larger planes have longer lead + build times.
I just noticed an error while looking at the code that calculates delivery wait times. I've just now corrected it, so any aircraft leased prior to this post will have different wait times.
The (new) formula is:
Lead time: Max seats/25
Build time: Max seats/50
Those figures are in days. Lead time is the initial wait until production starts and build time is the time it takes for each aircraft to be built. Lead time is not per aircraft. So lets say lead time is 6 days and build time is 3 days, and you order 3 aircraft:
6 days LT
3 days BT
*1st aircraft delivered* (day 9)
3 days BT
*2nd aircraft delivered* (day 12)
3 days BT
*3rd aircraft delivered* (day 15)
So the deliveries stack like that, as you can see.

Cool also how would you go about cancelling a lease. I noticed it still has the sell aircraft button

I was too but the wait time put me off ://. I assume there will be another game reset anyway so ill just test it out for now

Now that I have the basis down for leasing aircraft I might be able to implement it into the used market. So you can choose whether to purchase or lease anything that's on the used market.
