Hi.

At least in Colombia, the word "Aircraft" is a male word and it sounds weird to say to the 747 aircraft  "The queen of the sky". We would say "The King of the sky"

I took French in high school and there were some idiosyncrasies like that. Just shows how diverse the world can be I guess, and that's fascinating to me.
