I've implemented reputation into the flight functionality, although it's rather simple and will most likely change. Something we can test out during public beta.
Reputation is gained on a per flight basis. Reputation = flight distance/30000.
Obviously as we introduce things like IFE and IFS, those will have an impact on reputation as well.
Additionally, if you happen to land at an airport where all your gates are in-use, the reputation penalty will be 1.5 times what you would have otherwise earned. Again, subject to change, but for now that's what it is.
Reputation is a percent out of 100, so the maximum reputation you can have is 100%.

I like the 100% hard cap, ensures newer airlines don't face an eternally loosing battle.

Agreed! Will there also be a rating system (for purely informational purposes, and to give an idea of the age of the airline)?

I wasn't planning on it, no. But I can display airline age somewhere for sure.

That would be appreciated (given others agree to it as well of course).

I just updated the reputation formula to take into account simulated seat pitch/legroom.
PHP Code:
// Calculate reputation to add to the airline
$reputation = $distance/30000*(1+($final_pax_count/1000)+($slots_remaining/100));
Distance is the distance of the route, Final pax count is the number of total passengers, and Slots remaining is how many seat slots remain unused on your aircraft configuration. So if you don't pack your plane completely full and leave some extra space between seats, you will get a boost in reputation earned.

And I just packed my 787-9 completely! I should have come on the forums first.

A number of changes have been made to the calculations surrounding reputation gain.
Reputation is now gained much slower, at about a third the rate it was previously gained at. Reputation gained per flight still depends on the distance of the flight, as well as how many passengers you are carrying and how much legroom you have.
The main difference is reputation gain slows down the higher your airline's reputation gets:
This graph represents reputation growth of an airline (reputation is X axis, Y axis is arbitrary/for reference). This is based off the natural log of your airline's reputation + modifiers based on flight distance.
This means as you gain reputation, reputation will be increasingly harder to gain.
Additionally, airlines now start at 10% reputation rather than 35%.
This will be expanded upon when IFE & IFS are implemented. Each class of passengers will have their own IFE/S rating depending on the services you offer and how you configure the cabin. That will then be added to the reputation formula as another modifier and you will be able to gain/lose PAX in different classes dependent upon your airline's IFE/S ratings for each particular class.

Hi.
Is it possible to add a negative factor, let's say 35% due to the age of the aircraft?
