Aircraft Information Review - Unknown98 - 04-05-2019 Hi everyone Prior to the upcoming game reset I want to try and verify that the aircraft in-game have the correct statistics. We will never get it 100% accurate because we do not have different engine options implemented, MTOW options, winglet options, and so on. But I want to make sure nothing is tremendously off. For fuel usage - currently the game calculates fuel usage based on a formula, this was done because fuel usage stats were difficult to find for all aircraft types. that formula is: maximum fuel capacity (US Gal) / Max range (Imperial Miles) (this should be max range at MTOW, but, that stat is difficult to find to most aircraft as well). The idea being that if we have the range in the system set to max at MTOW it is easy to calculate extended range capabilities based on the weight of the aircraft, similar to how we do it for runway restrictions. So I guess I want this to be a discussion / community effort to validate that the aircraft currently in game are accurate. If you notice something that you believe is wrong, post it here and we can investigate it and change things if necessary (I will compile a list of changes needed and make them on the new server, not the current game) FYI for the reset we are looking at possibly 2 weeks from now but it just depends on how quickly we can get things up and running. RE: Aircraft Information Review - Zortan - 04-05-2019 If we can find the actual fuel consumption should we post it here, or just let the game do it's calculation thing? RE: Aircraft Information Review - Unknown98 - 04-05-2019 You can post it and we can compare to the game's calculation and see how off it is. RE: Aircraft Information Review - Unknown98 - 04-05-2019 Yes, post-release most likely. RE: Aircraft Information Review - elcapitan - 04-05-2019 I can verify the A320 Family if you like, I'm an Airline pilot in RL and type rated on the fleet so I could provide some data. Is the Runway Length and Range Based on MTOW or an Average? The Two main figures that stick out to me as wrong the A320 Family immediately, A320neo Max Capacity is 186 not 195.... Im aware there is various sources that suggest 195 but it was simply a stunt by Airbus to compete with the 737max 200 for RYR. The reality is EASA has not approved the 195 capacity as it would require modification to emergency doors and essentially removing all but one toilet which is never practical because of the Associated MEL Items, easyjet run it at max approved capacity currently of 186. Maybe in the future if EASA approve we may see 195. A321neo Max Capacity is 244 not 240, I can only comment on EASA and what they have certified the Aircraft to and as it stands the max capacity of the A321neo is 244. Those two numbers are the ones i can comment on at the moment, if you'd like me to continue looking over the numbers in my spare time I'd be happy to assist. Thanks for a great sim! The exit limit is the same as the -700 (probably because they have the same exits) but ofc it would be crazy to have 149 on a -600, but I believe it is possible. The 130 in-game number is a typical one-class configuration according to Boeing. The 737-700 and -700ER have exit limits of 149 instead of 148. The 737-900ER can seat up to 220 rather than the 215 in-game. 737-700 cruising speed is off by 2 kph lol. Might just be a factor of converting, but it should be 834 kph. 737-800 cruises at 842 kph instead of the 833 in-game. 737-800 has a range of 5436 km (A bit less than game). 737-800 takeoff run is 7598 feet (also a bit less) 2019 737 list prices are a bit higher than in-game: 737-700: 89.1 million us 737-800: 106.1 million us 737-900ER: 112.6 million us All small things, but of course important. Some 767 turnaround info: From what I can see the minimum turn times for 767s are as follows: 767-200: 30 minutes 767-200ER: 35 minutes 767-300/-300ER/-400ER: 40 minutes |
