Google form submissions are now closed for airports. Thank you to everyone who submitted data. From this point onwards, airports will be added to the game via a form I will create on the website.
Attached are the databases for the airports and aircraft currently in-game. The aircraft table only has 5 aircraft but you guys wanted to see, so I included it anyways.
A couple things:
I'm sure all the data is not correct. Particularly the yearly passenger and cargo numbers might need to be double-checked. A lot of cargo data is missing because we couldn't find it very easily. It's important that these passenger numbers are correct because it will influence route demand. I've been getting most of this info from wikipedia. Additionally cargo data should be reported in metric tons per year. Good sources for cargo data might be the airport's annual report or wikipedia.
Fuel consumption for aircraft is calculated by max fuel capacity (US gal) divided by the max range (mi). This gives us gallons of fuel used per mile flown, or gallons per mile. So the 737-800 for example will burn 1.95 gallons for each mile flown. Fuel burn in real life is complicated and depends on many things like payload, altitude, speed, wind etc but I think this is an acceptable way to calculate it for our purposes. I'm open to suggestions if you have a better idea.
This is the speradsheet where all this info is being collected (read-only):

If you would like to add an airport, you can use this form: https://goo.gl/forms/KsT4qJ82KTAuBd7m1
Responses will be reviewed and then added to the spreadsheet.
Skifans also made a map of all the airports, so you can get an idea of what regions of the world need more airports.
