I was facing the same trouble as well. I agree with skifans, editing should be restricted to certain users.

We can have two people compile up the data on the online excel sheet. Others can send their country wise data (once complete) to the two. I think Unk should not be one of the two as he already has a lot more to do.

I'd volunteer myself to be one of the two, but I know I'll just get overwhelmed by people sending me data, fail everyone, and have to harakiri. I like the other idea more - having to PM your email to Unk to be added to the doc and then be able to edit it with the edits you make being tracked. Then anyone can add data but without vandalism.

ID 39 and ID 909 CGH
ID 284 and 964 LPB
ID 965 and 286 CBB

I do not have access to edit.

I've temporarily restricted access to view-only. For now ya'll can either post here or PM me with airport data you collect and I'll add it to the list. I'll probably give several of ya'll editing access eventually. Either that or if I can find out how to require a google sign-in in order to edit the data, that might work as well. But I don't know how to do that lol.

Unk, to require a google sign-in you need to make the document view-only for everyone, then get people to PM you their emails and share with them with editing privileges individually.

Okay. I think what we're going to do is set up a google form that's open to anybody so ya'll can add airports. Then we'll go through the responses and add them to the main spreadsheet. I think that's the best way to go about it. If anyone sees any mistakes in the data that has already been added, you can just post here and somebody with access can fix it. I'll post another update when the form is set up and working.

There were airport up to ID #1002, but now they go only up to ID #988...would this mean that 14 have disappeared?

No. IDs were re-populated. Number of rows stayed the same and the id was just recalculated to match that.
