Getting into simulating different bag weights for each passenger is something I intentionally avoided because I figured it was a bit too much micro-management. Then on top of that the options that you choose need to actually have some sort of effect otherwise it's pointless. So then we get into trying to manipulate demand based on a countless number of configurations and it becomes a lot more complicated. Just seems like a lot of time to spend on something not so important in the grand scheme of things.

As for the fare types, when IFS/IFE is implemented you will be able to choose more advanced cabin configurations, such as choosing seat types for each class. So airline A may have 'standard' economy seats but airline B could have 'premium' economy seats. Both are economy, but airline B would be more comfortable and be able to charge a tad bit more. Is that similar to what you mean?

The problem with displaying seat configurations is I can't really do an overview of it since each plane could theoretically have a different configuration. The only way I think I could do that is to create a fleet information page for other airlines that would display their entire fleet and the configurations. Which wouldn't be that hard I suppose. I can look into it.

With the fare types, they are intended to be different pricing models of the same product. For instance, in my economy cabin with standard seats, I could have a basic fare, an advance fare and an advance plus fare. Each would have benefits (either price or features). Each would be priced differently, in order to accommodate the different features (eg basic could come with free snacks, but no meal or free checked bag allowance), advance could come with checked baggage and a free meal, and advance plus could come with double checked baggage and a premium meal. Seating type will be the same for all types. But say I had a premium plus fare (advance plus with empty seat next to you, which I don't intend to have), that would then be a different product. Fare types are intended for market differentiation and to cater to the wider market.

Also, with regard to the seat config display, I think Airline Empires would be a good model to look at for that. They've done it well.

Yes! AE!

m8 you don't wanna get warning pointed here as well. That would be a bit of a marble in the shoe Smile
