Afrikan Airlines
#9
Afrikan Airlines, the proud carrier of the spirit of Africa, is pleased to announce significant expansion with the creation of new hubs in Tripoli, Libya; Nairobi, Kenya and Cairo, Egypt truly expanding the airlines pan-African reach.

The airline has also significantly expanded our Lagos Base, with an investment of ten new mid-long-haul airplanes; and a commitment to grow the base moving forward. With the creation of these bases, and due to geographic locations, the airline will also see to tag-on several ‘fifth-freedom’ routes, to increase airplane utilization and offer African connections to even more European cities, where demand does not exist for a direct-air-service.

The airline is not standing still in it’s home country, South Africa, with significant investment in O.R. Tambo; and increased European service from Cape Town, and Durban. The airline has also committed to invest in local airservice; which currently operates on a breakeven aim; as part of it’s corporate social responsibility drive to promote inter-African connectivity. The airline plans to operate at least 250 inter-African routes within the next six months.

Following the significant investment from Shalom Holdings, a proudly Jewish organization, the airline has expanded its fleet to over 70 primary long and mid haul airplanes, and Shalom Holdings have promised continued significant investment moving forward. The airline, and it’s parent organization continues to lobby for increased air service from Tel Aviv; and calls upon an Israeli airline to be created. Afrikan Airlines would happily consider a partnership with any airline established in the promised land. Shall one not materialize in the near future, Shalom Holdings and Afrikan Airlines will consider potential opportunities, although as a truly African airline, and unlike our Korean friends, we don’t want to step in unless a partner can’t be found.
