New reputation system
^I think that is the main problem. Maybe I need to change overall reputation to company image or something.

But zortan my point is, in order to compare ALL airlines of ALL types... there has to be some sort of comparison system. An all economy airline will never be as reputable as a full service/multi class airline.

The problem is, I offer all classes, and each class has 100% rep, but since I don't include first in med-haul flights, I lose rep. That does not really make sense to me. And what if I have a highly successful and huge regional network offering only economy seats?? I will probably have only 50% rep at that rate Tongue. I think the rep should not be an average of the reputation for the flights of the past week, but the average of the rep for each class from the past week.

But this, alas, may be exploited by low cost airlines who will obviously configure just one aircraft with all seating classes and thus gain 100% rep while mainly only offering economy seating otherwise Sad.

I can see that this will be a difficult task Tongue. Is it possible to study the Airline Empires system to see how they do it there? Their system seems to be more fair to me - it is not hard, but nor is it easy to get good rep there.

Honestly never paid attention to airline empire's reputation system. I didn't know they had one.

Oh they had a really good one Wink. And it takes into account a whole lot of factors (other than IFE and IFS) too, like aircraft age, airline age, employee satisfaction, on time performance, and the likes. Not easy to achieve 100%, but it is not exactly that complex either.

Ultimately the goal is to include all those factors as well, it's just not at the top of my list right now. But yes that would be an ideal system.

AE's was OK. But everyone ignored it because it was never taken into account with LF, etc.

I like AirwaySim's better (sorry I'm a broken record lol).

And it's absurd to require me to offer four classes of service on a 2-hour flight. A beech 1900 is NEVER gonna have anything than Y (unless you're crazy lol)...

You're not required to.

Well in a sense we are required to in order to achieve a flawless 100% overall reputation for the airline, so I guess you are going to work on that? I can imagine the difficulty - having to account for every possibility, allowing differently-styled full-service airlines to achieve 100% without needing to always include every seating class in each and every flight, while making sure that low-cost airlines do not get around the system and achieve a highly-unrealistic 100% reputation with cheap service.

Well, maybe I can't began to imagine the difficulties...

I want to have a small plane to simulate training flights but I do not want the reputation of my airline to fall. Is it possible to register a route that does not affect the reputation? The plane will travel without passengers. I just want to reflect the cost of flight training.

Wow, you're really dedicated to pilot training. You're airline will be the safest of all Smile
