Although this was an April Fools Day joke, your applications are not entirely wasted, dkdd and Charlie. The applications you guys have submitted will still be considered by us when the new, real alliance launches (although you may have to resubmit the application). Joke aside, we really do appreciate the interest you two have shown - I almost thought that no one would be interested in an alliance for AEn!

Just a hint: we will be an alliance based strictly on realistic airlines, so please do take that into consideration!

I still don't understand what you consider a realistic airline. Could you give a list of details?

A realistic airline is one that operates a fleet and network that would make sense and work in real life. For example, a realistic fleet would operate one aircraft family for short haul operations ( like the A320 or the 737 instead of both). There are some exceptions though, such as China or the US. Airlines based in these countries can operate both families because of their size and the huge market that they need to serve. Look at American or China Southern.

For more details, Zortan has a guide on how to run an airline realistically in the works, so that could help you understand what we mean by saying running a realistic airline.
