  American One Airways

IATA: AO ICAO: AMO CALLSIGN: BALD EAGLE

American One Airways, (stylized as AmericanONE) is an airline in the United States owned by American One Group, based out of Atlanta, Georgia. AmericanONE was founded in 1986, where it operated an only Boeing fleet with only one hub in Austin. AmericanONE mergered with Trans American Airlines in August 2019.

Hub
AmericanONE currently only has three hubs:
  • Atlanta - Headquarters and main hub of AmericanONE. Serves as the main gateway for connecting traffic through Latin America and the Caribbean, and secondary gateway to transatlantic traffic. AmericanONE has about 30% market share, making it the largest airline based in Atlanta.
  • Austin - Serves as the main gateway for Mexico and secondary gateway for Latin American traffic. AmericanONE has about 10% market share, making it the airport's second largest airline.
  • New York- JFK - AmericanONE's main transatlantic hub.

Destinations
AmericanONE currently operates the following destinations out of its Atlanta hub:

Rewards Program
AmericanONE'S frequent-flyer program is called AmericanONE Miles  that offer reward points (miles) on every AmericanONE flight. AmericanONE is one of the few US airlines where our miles do not expire. Miles can be redeemed to purchase tickets, rent a car, rent a hotel room, merchandise or upgrade your ticket.

Fleet
On September 17, 2019, AmericanONE finalized its merger with transAmerican and inherited all its airbus aircraft, making it the first time an airbus aircraft has ever flied with an AmericanONE branding.
On September 21, AmericanONE leased all its Airbus A319 to United Airlines.

Rumors of AmericanONE backtracking from its decision to remain a mixed fleet carrier started to after the airline pushed back all of its A220 orders until December 2019, canceling 10 A220 and 13 A320neo orders, and removing the A319 from the fleet.

As of September 21, 2019, AmericanONE's fleet consists of the following aircraft:

Livery
With the merger of AmericanONE and transAmerican, AmericanONE CEO wanted to incorporate a new identity that stayed true to both of the airline's origin. A decision was made to keep the bald eagle and the red, removing the american flag from the old AmericanONE's design and adding blue. A survey was conducted among AmericanONE employees and the new livery was picked, offering a more modern and eurowhite look to the livery.

Aircraft range vs number of seats
Posted by: Trogdor - 11-19-2018, 12:23 AM - Forum: Game Discussions - Replies (12)

New player here - enjoying this game having moved over from another airline sim game that seems to have died...

However I have a question - is the range of an aircraft affected by the number of seats in the configuration? In other words, can a less-dense setup aircraft fly further than a dense setup one? Or does the game just treat all setups the same w.r.t how far you can fly?

  The number 13

Hi.

I look for random numbers to give the aircraft a registration number but I am compelled to change it when I get the number 13.

Are you superstitious about number 13?

  BEGINNING AIRPORT

Hi, I have seen some airports with a lot of potential that aren't used as much as they could. And my question is: would I be able to start a new base to fly to other parts of the world from that airport or planes should first start at my current base airport and then fly to the other airports via the non utilised one?

Star Africa's best airline - The New Afrikan Airlines
Posted by: boerviking - 11-04-2018, 04:21 AM - Forum: Roleplay - Replies (9)

Investing to be the best – The New Afrikan Airlines – with one goal, to be Africa’s best airline

Johannesburg, John Weston House November, 04 2018
·         Brand New, reconfigured state of the art fleet
·         $1bn dollar investment for its customers
·         Free WiFi, Snacks and Coffee on every flight, system wide.
·         $500m+ spent on WiFi installation fleet wide.

‘We’re glad to be back – and we’re working hard to be truly the best’ said Saul Libermann President: Afrikan Airlines – Network at a press release unveiling the new Afrikan Airlines today, as the airline successfully completes the transition to be Africa’s best airline.
The airline, which has met all its obligations to creditors, valued colleagues and guests, has launched expanded service taking Africa to the world, and bringing the world to Africa, from its home in South Africa.

‘We’ve right-sized our state-of-the-art fleet and invested in things our customers value most. Like larger overhead bins in coach, kerbside check at all our major airports and especially our people. People who live the Afrikan brand values day and night. These are the true aviation professionals and the true back bone of our airline’ said Pretti Ramazuma-Van Hoosen, President: Afrikan Airlines – Transformation & Change.
There have been some challenges for sure. But we’re doing things right. Like spending over a $1bn on upgrading our fleet, and over $500m in in-flight WiFi, which is now free for everyone gate to gate. We’re truly determined to be Africa’s best airline.

Afrikan Airlines will like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of our guests for their support. It has been our honour to connect guests throughout Africa to the world and bring the world closer to Africa, sharing our hospitality and culture on every flight, and today our mission remains steadfast. As we complete the transition to the New Afrikan Airlines, we now focus on one goal – to be Africa’s best airline. Being proud of taking Southern Africa to the world and bring the world to Southern Africa. But, ultimately, it will be our customers who will make the final call on just how well we do.

Come onboard and put Africa’s best airline to the test.

Brick Iron Mike's Airplane Transport - the vlog series
Posted by: squaregatescrub - 10-30-2018, 08:19 AM - Forum: Roleplay - Replies (3)

The show begins with Mike entering his office with an artificial NYC skyline as the backdrop to the tune of "Nothing To Lose" by the hottest band in the world, Kiss.  He gave the camera a beaming smile and with his thick, lisping, Brooklyn accent, he started talking about his new business.

Mike TysonYo what's up guys, I am Mike Tyson and I used to be a boxer.  Yeah, so I made millions of dollars and kinda lost some of them but I did made some more by doing comedy and films and all that jazz so, yeah, I have a huge chunk of savings.

Mike then pulled out a laptop with a web browser already open.

Mike TysonSo anyway, I have been playing this computer game called Airline Enterprise and it was so good that it made me feel like I am this real business man and stuff so I was like, "If I can do these things in this computer game, might as well make a couple of bucks doing this thing in real life, right?"  And so I did.  With my savings, I managed to get me some airplanes and airport slots and gates and some pilots and crews and those guys at the airport gate and stuff.  If you still didn't get it, I just started my real life airline called Iron Mike's Airplane Transport.  That's great right?  Here, let me show you some of my stuff:

Mike then minimized the browser then pulled up a powerpoint presentation filled with pictures of his airline's terminal, crew uniforms, and a TU-204-300 with his livery.

Mike Tyson:  The most interesting thing about an airline company is it's airplanes right?  So let me tell you this story.  I have these friends from Moscow who were fortunately gambling that weekend at Atlantic city so I called them up and told them to come over for some Vodka and Balalaika music, well, Russian woman too but I assume that you already know that.  That's a tried and tested recipe for convincing your Russian friends to agree with your business proposals.  Anyway, because of that wonderful evening, they hooked me up with this filthy rich Russian guy and I ended up leasing these Tupolev airplanes for a good price.  These babies here will be the main guys of my fleet.

Mike then closed the laptop then pulled a cigar from under his desk.  With a big smile, he lit it up and smoked it like a real "businessman" from those 1940's mob films.

Mike Tyson:  So yeah, that's it for now.  Tune in again here at this youtube thing so that I can get views and some more money.  Thank you guys and make sure to buy my plane tickets, ok?  Peace and praise be to Allah.

  Question regarding credit rating
Posted by: fsclips - 10-28-2018, 07:53 AM - Forum: Game Discussions - Replies (1)

Hi there.

I just wanted to find out how exactly the credit rating calculations are timed.

My 4 planes are making about 700.000 profit a day with a Pm of 47%.
I am debt free and have been for a while now, yet I am still on a rating of C.
How long does a profitable airline have to be debt free in order to get a higher rating?
None of my flights has ever made a loss and every day I collect more money.
According to the excel sheet dealing with credit ratings I should be AAA or something.

Is the credit rating only reviewed once a month or more often?

Many thanks.

Stefan
