I am trying to schedule an 8 stop route starting from LGW at 6:15am. It all seems to be fine however when i come to creating the route it gives me an error message. Now from Stop 6 the ready at time is something like 23:59 and i am trying to schedule the departure for 00:10. The error message is telling me that the plane is not ready until 23:59 and i have selected 00:10. I assume this is because the system is not recognising that i want the flight for the following day. Is there a fix for this? All times are in GMT+1

Monarch Airlines the UK's 5th biggest airline went into administration at 4am this morning after 50 years of operating. Almost 1,900 have lost their jobs as a result! The UK's Civil Aviation Authority have leased around 30 Aircraft fro Qatar Airways and Air Transat to ferry the 110,000 passengers now stranded abroad back to the UK. This will be little comfort to the 300,000 future bookings affecting 800,000 passengers.

I'm currently trying something with the demand formula. On the routes research page, when you research a route you will notice some new information. The weekly demand will be displayed at the top of the page for every route. This is a calculated number based off of annual passengers and the airport ranks. What this attempts to do is calculate an estimated weekly demand for flights between the two airports. It may need some additional tweaking to get it more accurate to real life numbers.

Weekly demand will work in conjunction with the competition portion of the demand formula. If a particular route has no or very little competition, to the point where actual passengers flown in the past 7 days is LESS than the calculated weekly demand, you will receive a bonus to your passengers on that route. The bonus you receive is shown in blue, in the estimated passengers section of the research page. 

Now keep in mind as soon as a flight is made, that bonus will drop by the amount of passengers flown. So for example lets assume a particular route has a normal demand of 150 passengers, and a bonus of 500. If you fly that route and transport 200 passengers, the bonus will immediately drop to 300. If another airline flies the same route and also transports 200 passengers, the bonus will drop an additional 200 passengers. The remaining bonus for the week is now only 100. So the bonus passengers are assigned on a first come first serve basis. 

As of right now, this feature is disabled and does not have any actual effect. It will only display the bonus numbers on the route research page. Once I can do a bit more research and determine if the calculated weekly demand is accurate or not I think I will enable this feature to see how it plays out.

One potential side effect, for high-demand routes with low competition, if this is enabled you will basically always have a 100% loadfactor. But that's caused by a low player count, not necessarily a bad formula. Not sure what we can do about that at this stage other than try to get more players.

I have flown this route a number of time now, and im seeing 4 seat sakes on this route, even though you do research its suppossed to be very profitable, these seats dont even cover the fuel, is there a way to research a route depending on the estimated departure time?

As you probably know automatic routes have been implemented. Every route can now be activated and deactivated. Only active routes will fly. This allows you to create several routes for the same aircraft and switch between them by choosing which route you want to activate.

Every 20 minutes (on the hour, 20 minutes after and 40 minutes after) the system runs the script that checks for active routes that need to be scheduled. Keep that in mind when creating routes. If the time is currently 1:01, the system will not check for routes again until 1:20. If you create a route that departs at 1:15, the route will not get scheduled until the next day.

In order to cancel flights that you have already scheduled, you first need to deactivate the route. Once you do that, you will notice the  icon. If you click this, it will cancel all scheduled flights associated with that route. If the route is already in progress, any in-progress flights will not be cancelled.
