  Daily maintenance - thoughts
Posted by: AirWoj - 08-22-2019, 06:04 AM - Forum: Support - Replies (3)

I truly hate daily maintenance...

Time for these calculations (05:55 - 07:05 UTC) is exactly time when I arriving to work (7:55 - 9:05 local time) and I sit in front of my computer with cup of coffee and than... it's maintenance mode and can't do anything in my airline for more than hour Sad

It's so frustrating for me Sad

I know, there must be time for daily calculations but 5:55 - 7:05 UTC is worst possible time for me  Angry

  Strategy to raise prices?
Posted by: sargester - 08-20-2019, 02:18 PM - Forum: Game Discussions - Replies (1)

Does anyone in here have a good strategy to raise price and to increase your cost per mile to a more realistic number for your fleet type? I was thinking 10% increase to the base ticket prices would help and a .5 cent per mile increase would help for coach, i don't have a PE or J class so only coach matters for me...  Any tips or tricks?

Thanks Lads, J

  ALYX
Posted by: Carde - 08-16-2019, 03:56 PM - Forum: Roleplay - Replies (19)

ALYX
Home to the twin dragons of Canada

ALYX is a brand new carrier based in Toronto, founded by the Kuramochi sisters it aims to offer a great quality package for both business and holiday travel with an initial focus on the North American market.

Destinations

ALYX currently flies to the following destinations:

Los Angles (LAX), 6 times a day
Las Vegas (LAS), 6 times a day
Vancouver (YVR), 6 times a day
Mexico City (MEX), 6 times a day
Sydney (SYD), 2 times a day
Amsterdam (AMS), 6 times a day
Dublin (DUB), 6 times a day

Our focus is of course to grow our network, but we aim to do so in a steady and sustainable pace to ensure that each route runs as smoothly as possible.

The fleet

Airbus A350-900ULR
[Image: 1hUxvG9.jpg?1]
The Airbus A350-900ULR offers the greatest efficiency and range of widebody jets on the market today and will be at the core of the long haul operational fleet from ALYX. 3 Of the type where initially acquired through a third party lessor, but an agreement has been signed with Airbus for an other 10 planes of the type.

Of course the usual features of the ALYX cabin can be found, but due to the long duration of the flights larger seats have been installed in all classes to provide better levels of comfort throughout the flight. Also these planes will be the first to offer a first class experience with 6 suites installed onboard for the ultimate experience of air travel.

Airbus A220-300
[Image: A220-300-first-presentation-Toulouse-1.j...1723&ssl=1]
Of course a little Canadian pride cannot be missed when starting an Canadian airline and hence we lease a number of Airbus A220-300 jets leased directly from airbus. Capable of dealing with the cold and being amongst the most modern and efficient jets in the skies they are bound to offer a great experience to all those whom travel onboard them.

Onboard one will find comfortable seating and industry leading IFE and other features such as charging ports for all seats and free unlimited WIFI access for all classes. We have also teamed up with start chefs to create our menus to ensure your flight will be as comfortable as it can be.

Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner
[Image: TicHcA9.jpg?1]
The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner was the first of the new generation of composite and efficient wide bodies jets for the coming future. They offer an amazing mix between performance, capacity, efficiency and comfort and that means they make for a great addition to the ALYX fleet. Outfitted with our standard long haul cabin one can be assured of a comfortable, entertaining and well catered for flight. These planes are named the dreamliner after all and we will do our very best to make them dream worthy in your eyes.

Vickers-Armstrongs BAC Super VC10
[Image: wy8eO2x.jpg?1]
As a part of our dedication to history as much as the preservation of our future we maintain some classic airliners in operational duty. One of these is a Vickers-Armstrongs BAC super VC10 more commonly known as the Vickers VC10 or just the VC10. These 4 engined jets where made to serve the need for jets capable of dealing with rough, hot and high airports mainly found in places like Africa. After their commercial service they spend a long career with the RAF which recently has decided to retire them. We managed to struck a deal for their best hulls and parts and this example is the first of 2 (one being a standard currently undergoing renovation) we plan to keep in service and will fly twice daily from Toronto to Vancouver.

Of course we did update the interiors to modern standards, though the design has been kept more in style of when these jets actually flew comercially and hence IFE units, plugs and more are all cleverly hidden away until access is desired. Like all our planes they come equipment with onboard unlimited free wifi.

The little brother of the super VC10 the standard VC is the second of our historical fleet and it flies twice daily to Las Vegas, so if you fancy a trip to the city of sin and entertainment in style, look for the VC10 flights. Of course like the super the interior is fully updated.

The Kuramochi sisters

Equal owners and operators of ALYX the Kuramochi twins are known as the twin dragons of Canada for their fierce nature in just about all their dealings. On the left one finds Chiyeko Kuramochi, a graduate with distinction from university of Toronto in law and part of the GPLLM program. On the right one finds Takara Kuramochi a former RCAF C-17 pilot.

They are known to be fierce and protective and unlike many twins they tend to let the person speak who has the better answer from their personal experiences being apart for quite some time when Chiyeko spend her time in the books and Takara spend her time in the skies. A low tolerance for bull crap as they name is common with them both preferring to get to the point of matters ideally as directly as possible. That said in their own ways they can be more diplomatic at times when the situation demands it.

As the business is small they pretty much equally share all the heads at the top of the company, though it is clear Chiyeko does a bit more on the business side and Takara is more focused on the people.

  Zortan | Livery Design

So I'll be accepting a few requests for liveries if you'd like a livery. Please make sure your request is for one aircraft per airline - if you like what I've made I can make you another aircraft later.

If you'd like a logo and a livery together, let me know and I can do that for you. Please ensure that you are not requesting for a real-world airline or a spamline. I only take requests from reputable AEn airlines with decent names.

Tongue Every route at 0% rep
Posted by: fsclips - 08-06-2019, 06:50 AM - Forum: Support - Replies (11)

It seems something has gone wrong with the update. After the scheduled maintenance this morning almost all my routes have dropped to 0% awareness, even those that were on 100% before.
Those that had route marketing enabled have dropped to 4 or 6%.

Has anyone else this problem?

Stefan

  Route Marketing
Posted by: Unknown98 - 08-01-2019, 03:11 AM - Forum: Game Updates - Replies (15)

Route Marketing will be implemented soon. Here is the change log for this feature:

1) You will be able to set route-specific marketing based on airport pairs (airport to airport). This marketing boost will apply to any routes/flights you have between the two airports. You are able to specify different marketing for each direction of travel.

2) New routes will start at 0 awareness (right now, they start at your airline's awareness)

3) You will be able to set up a route and apply marketing to it prior to flying the route to build up awareness.

4) Route awareness will rise on its own over time, even without route marketing.

5) Route marketing will do two things: Provide a boost to initial awareness (up to 35%) and increase the rate at which route awareness grows.

6) Overall airline awareness will also factor into the growth rate of route awareness. A higher airline awareness will lead to faster growth of route awareness across the board.

I expect route marketing to be implemented over the weekend. Let me know if you have any questions/comments etc.

Hi. I'm starting a new airline as "American One". It will be a very old, traditional airline that will be based in the southern, USA.
I want a very old school feel towards the livery. The logo is attached. Thanks!
